sunil

sunil was one of the first boys from the streets i got friendly with about five years ago…

his simple joys in life then were limited to body building (with heavy bricks) and smoking

one of the first kids who shattered the romance of the streets for me and reduced everything to what it really was – food, drugs, hunger, police, sex and more drugs…

a couple of years ago, he disappeared without a trace…

i was at jamghat y’day when i see this young man, sporting a brush on his lips come up and start chatting me up…

same old smile…same old sunil…

married now and a father of three…

why are you taking photographs of me?

i look old…i feel old…

no my friend, you still got the spark!
